The Skiing

The resort’s slopes are mostly geared toward beginners and intermediates, with wide cruisers, mellow tree-lined runs and dedicated learning zones. Tandådalen and Hundfjället also offer more challenging terrain, including off-piste sections and a few black runs for confident skiers. Snow parks and well-designed kids’ areas add to the appeal, making Sälen especially attractive for families and first-timers. While it may not have the altitude or scale of other Alpine destinations, Sälen delivers a smooth, enjoyable ski experience in a beautiful Swedish setting.
